Finess Group – Terms & Conditions of Requested Work

(Short Version – Effective 1 July 2025)

1. Scope of Works
All requested work carried out by Finess Group is strictly based on the scope outlined in the accepted quotation or agreed project documentation. Work covers only the scope of work, products specified and excludes any demolition, removal, custom fitting, or modification of third-party items unless explicitly stated, or engagement of 3rd party contractors unless explicitly stated.

2. Fixed Pricing Policy
Finess Group prefers to price all jobs directly to ensure clarity of scope, fair costing, and efficiency in execution. Jobs submitted with fixed pricing not quoted by Finess Group will generally not be accepted, as they often lack detailed scope and lead to disputes over time, resources, and variation costs.

However, by prior written agreement, we may accept fixed-price work where the full scope, site conditions, inclusions, and exclusions are clearly defined. This must be arranged before commencement.

If variations to the agreed scope arise during the course of work, the attending Finess representative will notify our office, and a member of your team will be contacted to review and approve or decline the variation. Any approved additional works will be charged at $82 + GST per hour per Finess Employee, other trades will be billed at their standard charge out rate (Service Dependant) + Materials if required.

We reserve the right to pause work where scope clarity or variation approval is not provided in a timely manner.

3. Scheduling & Site Readiness
The requested work will proceed as per the scheduled start date. The client is responsible for ensuring the site is fully ready and accessible, including completion of all prerequisite trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) where applicable and not managed by us, and provide clear access, and clean working areas.
We do not allow for delays outside our control. The following will incur extra charges if they affect our workflow:

  • Other trades not completing work on time

  • Product or material delivery delays

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, or changed site conditions

4. Delay Charges & Variations
Where site readiness is not met, or unforeseen variations occur, Finess Group reserves the right to charge for:

  • Downtime caused by delays

  • Additional labour or site visits

  • Work outside of the original agreed scope

Charges are billed at $82 + GST per hour per Finess Employee, other trades will be billed at their standard charge out rate (Service Dependant)  unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Communication & Variation Process
All variations, delays, or site issues must be communicated immediately to Finess Group. No additional or out-of-scope work will proceed without written approval. Failure to provide clear direction may result in works being paused.

6. Payment Terms
Payment is due strictly within 14 calendar days from the invoice date, unless other terms are agreed upon in writing prior to commencement or where a trade account is held. Variations and extras will be invoiced separately and must also be paid within 14 days, or prior arrangement.

7. Liability & Responsibility
Finess Group is not liable for any delays, damages, or additional costs arising from:

  • Other trades or contractors

  • Site inaccessibility

  • Client-driven changes

  • Delayed material supply or approvals

  • Incomplete product deliveries not arranged by us

By confirming requested work, the client accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.
